Warm up balls...

Does anyone know if they stopped throwing the in-between innings warm up balls in to the stands now? I was at the game last night and not once did anyone toss a ball out. Was it just because it was a night game maybe? I have gotten two balls earlier this year (both from Murton) but they were day games. I wonder if someone got hurt and now the Cubs Legal department told them not to throw them in. Or the Tribune is too cheap to give away free baseballs to fans.

At my first game ever, Vlad threw me one in the last year of the Expo's existance. Corcky the catcher *Reds* also accidentaly threw his bat in the stands and I should have had it. (Some crazy kid with ADD was screaming so I let him have it avoiding a fight)

They might have stopped doing that after the Jock Jones/drunk fan incident a month ago. I haven't been to a game since that one (in fact, I was at that very game), and all the previous games they were throwing balls into the stands.

I got a ball after that. At least I think so. It was on May 27th the last time Murton threw me a ball. That was after the Jones incident wasn't it?

If it was Griffeys bat on the other hand, I would have ripped the bat outta his hands followed by some wicked jackie chan manuevers. Or maybe even a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick. In other words for you boxing fans out there, I would have pulled a B-Hop vs. Tarver

I got a bp ball lined of my face while trying to sit down in the bleachers on tuesday night so.... i doubt its tribune/lawyers etc involved here maybe the player just didnt like you.

At the NSBB game our usher in the bleacher said that they weren't allowed to throw balls into the stands during the game because of the Jones issue.
