Anyone know what the Royals are planning with him? I just looked at his AA numbers, and I'm quite impressed with the offense. I know very little about the defense though. Mark Teahen has been pretty bad for them, I'm wondering if his shot could be coming.

312/408/543/951, 13/14 SB, 9 HR. K numbers are a titch high, but the walk total is pretty good.

With Dayton Moore coming on board, there has been talk of Gordon, Butler and Huber all getting promoted to the big leagues within the next few months (apparently because Moore came from an organization that was aggressive with its promotions).

Gordon is definitely the best of the three, imo.

Is Huber still a better prospect than Buck, or is he going to move out from behind the plate.

Thanks, I always get excited when hot prospects and top draft picks come up to the bigs regardless of the team.

I am pretty sure he already has. Sounds like he may not have the defense to stick anywhere from what I have gathered. Think 1b/dh

Yeah, that's what I've gathered too.

That is a problem too, I have seen Wichita a few times this year and Butler falls into the same catergory. Alex Gordon should be the All Star rep for the Royals right now. If Guillen had any balls he would select him from there team.

Really? I haven't seen anything but highlight from when he's played against the Rockhounds and he seems atleast average in the field. Going through his stats he's only made 4 errors this year and he seems to be playing RF every night.

Being in Lincoln, I saw/heard much of Gordon as he dominated local schools with Lincoln High and later college teams with the Huskers. His bat is the real deal, and his defense is more than adequate.

I guess maybe I have just caught three of his errors in person then. The bad thing on all of them was that they were routine flyballs right too him. I think he is another Mike Sweeney.
