I read somewhere a couple weeks ago that a Mulder for Soriano trade had been discussed. I don't remember where, but I think it was in the St. Louis Post.

Thats would be a bad deal for the cards maybe it would open the chance that Mudler returns to Chicago this offseason.

mulder hasn't been extended by st. louis yet????

hendry should have got soriano when he was cheaper. highly dobutful hill & jwilliams is nearly enough for soriano now, even if he's a possible rental player.

also, considering how well he's played in the NL, it's doubtful soriano rules out returning to the NL. the reason he most likely goes back to the AL is cause the money's there (Yankees, Boston & Anaheim).

Walker's bread and butter up until now has been one year deals, or similar deals. He seems smart enough to realize what he's gonna get offered by almost anyone at this point.

Walker has only signed two such deals in his career, so I don't know that 'bread and butter' is quite accurate. At his current age, he may be looking for a solid 2 year deal next year.
