Richard Lewis hits his 1st homer of the year, a 3 run shot, to give the Jaxx a 4-2 lead :)

Daytona is scoreless through 2 1/2.

Peoria is scoreless after 1.

Iowa is under a rain delay.

Thanks, Ron.

Is something wrong with Randy Wells? I have him slated for tomorrow.

I didn't want to make a new topic out of this, so I guess this is the best place to post it. A few days ago I mentioned something about the reports on Gallagher's MPH, BaseballProspectus' last Future Shock column says that he has sat 90-93 all season long. Goldstien seems to be quite high on him.

A Jackson RBI single, an EPatt sac fly, a double steal and an E2 allowing Jackson to score, and an RBI single by Lewis give the Jaxx a 10-6 lead.

Peoria's game has been suspended until tomorrow night due to the torrential rain that came through about 7pm. They got 2 innings in and are currently trailing 1-0.

I believe I heard the PA announce that this postponed game will resume at 4pm tomorrow afternoon, then a 7 inning game will follow to wrap the Kane County series. Not sure what will happen with the pitching.

The Chiefs will also be playing 2 against Ft Wayne on Friday night to make up a rain out earlier this half.

Nice! I really like Gallagher's approach and in-game mentality, but have always wondered how well his velocity would hold up as he advanced, if the 89-91 reports were true and if the reports of him being unlikely to add velocity due to his large frame were true.

Pie's struggles continue. He went 0-3 with 3 Ks and was double switched out of the game. His BA is down to .260 and OPS down to .755. He had a .676 OPS in May.

True, very good news. This should help him up the prospect rankings.

Addendum: I think Sean will get promoted around the time of the FSL all-star game, a la Marmol and Marshall last season.

we start game 1 at 4:00 Thursday with Scott Taylor (scheduled starter) on the hill. Game 2 starts at 7:00 with Illini jerseys and Coach Bruce Weber. Game 2 will be a bullpen game and i "think" that Estrada or Billek will start. The other one will probably start game 2 vs. Ft Wayne on Friday...
