As of May 22, here are the Cubs players in the minors are the leaderboard of their leagues. Of course, with their promotions Hoffpauir and Montanez will be dropping off shortly. With enough at bats, Reed should made the leaderboard soon in the Midwest League. EPatt just missed the top 10 in several categories.

Randy Wells is worth adding to the discussion. Randy is sporting a 1.57 ERA in 34.1 IP with a .90 WHIP. Steven Jackson who is third in SL ERA only has 3 more IP that Randy at this time.

 

I'm not ready to label Brandon Sing as a disappointment. He's been at a disadvantage all season with his vision troubles. If Brandon is putting up those numbers at 100% I'd be concerned. Hopefully they'll be able to figure out the problem tomorrow when he gets evaluated.

all those guys will spend 2007-2012 shutting out the cubs while playing for the marlins.

I honestly can't say those two are disappointments - I wasn't expecting much out of them, sadly.

 

Gallagher and Hoffpauir are easily the players of the year thus far (Fox right behind Micah).
