I see Phat Albert is becoming a real tool and that's too bad. He's mouthing off about people questioning his age. Hey Albert, you wanna stop all this questioning about your age? Show us a verifiable birth certificate. That's all you need to do.

Now he's telling everyone that he'll undergo steroid testing at anytime. What a tool. Pujols knows that the Player's Union won't allow him to do any sort of steroid testing. And since MLB doesn't test for HGH, Pujols can be a coward and run his mouth. Pretty chicken to even bring it up when you can hide behind the union.

Pujols says none of this stuff bothers him and yet he keeps yapping about it. Obviously it bothers him alot. Probably because companies aren't exactly falling all over themselves to sign him up for commercials.

I think Pujols is a wonderful player, but he needs to shut his pie hole and just play ball.

My guess is that he keeps "yapping" about it because the media keeps asking him about it. The same as they were grilling Sammy and Big Mac back in the day. I don't like Pujols because he's on the Cards, but I find it hard to get too upset at him for denying accusations.

Good to finally see a Pujols thread in Rivalries. There was clearly a dearth of threads on the topic.

What the hell are you talking about Cubbie Rich?

I'd paste the entire interview you are talking about, but I think there is enough Pujols content on this site.

Nothing in the interview was combative or whiny. He was just answering questions OTHER PEOPLE ASKED HIM.

Turns out ESPN just took what they wanted from the interview and left the rest.

That's the complete interview.

Pujols:

"“My rookie year they tried to find (something) about my age and didn’t find anything. Like I said, I don’t have anything to hide because I haven’t done anything wrong.”

First off, how is that mouthing off? Secondly, he is an American citizen. In order to apply for such, you need your birth certificate. He obviously presented that. Since his emergence in baseball, people have investigated the validity of his birth date. Nobody has found anything to prove it is false.

Get off it.

Like I said, I don’t have anything to hide because the evidence (and a few nosey folks) have been disposed of, if you know what I mean. Viva la revolución!”

I'm pretty sure he ate the interviewer immediately following.

You're really reaching.

You're right. They should trade him to the Pirates for Burnitz.

Nice try. The Cards have already offered him to the Cubs for Rusch. We're just waiting for the perfect time to pull the trigger.

Any truth that Rusch, like Hill, is another of Hendry's "untouchables"?

Yes, but for totally different reasons. Hendry overvalues Hill and won't let him go, nobody wants to touch Fat Glen.

So..where's that birth certificate located exactly? A rival high school in KC asked for it and he couldn't produce one. The Cards questioned him about a few years ago and he couldn't produce it for them. But please feel free to post a link to it here.

He knows that the player's union won't allow him to be tested for roids and certainly not HGH. For him to bring it up and then know that testing can't be done is chicken.

Like I said he's a very good player, but he just needs to keep quiet and play ball. His opinions about Bonds are misguided and uninformed. He is hurting himself by speaking up.

Hello pot? Kettle calling.

Not so fast, if they sweeten the deal a little, you just might be able to convince the stros to part with Preston Wilson.

Does anyone else find it humorous that everyone's tossing out their "marquee" FA outfielder they got in the offseason. I'll see your Burnitz, your Wilson, your Jones, and raise you Encarnacion!

I heard the Royals have interest in a Pujols for Sanders deal.

I don't know what any of you guys are talking about. The Cardinals clearly need more speed and now that it is warming up in St. Louis, Juan Pierre's leg muscles should loosen up nicely if he were to be traded to the Cardinals along with Rusch for Pujols and Carpenter.

I have a question,

WHAT DOES AGE HAVE TO DO W/ANYONE IN MLB????????????

I dont care how old a player is, if he was hitting like Poojoes, I would sign him in a heartbeat

its fun to tease Card fans about it, but seriously, who cares??

Cubbie Rich... huh?

Shut up and play ball? How often do you hear him mouth off? Pujols is becoming a huge star - almost the major start - in MLB; of course he'll be answering more questions, thus we'll hear more. And do you honestly think a player of Pujols caliber would flat-out criticize Bonds? As much as I would love DLee or somebody to call him out, it won't happen. Team's PR guys, the Union, and logic forbids any sane person from doing that.

And since we're talking about trades, throw Edmonds in that Pierre/Rusch for Pujols/Carp trade. Albert Belle is due for some Cardinals pixie dust soon, so lets those Cards free up a spot for a future Cardinal hero! :)

Not surprised that Cards Kool-Aiders and Pujols apologists can't find this 'certified birth certificate'. But then, he's such an 'honest' person or so we're told. One of my good Cards fan in St. Louis says his phoney 'foundation' jacks up the price for his autograph, claiming Phattie is just charging what the market will bear. Sounds pretty humanitarian to me.

Does Phattie point to the ground when he makes an out?

When did this conversation turn to ARam?

He played in a little tournament called the WBC, which has olympic style testing. Wouldn't you know they do test for HGH but don't let the details get in your way...nice little fairy tale about the rival HS and stuff. I guess you don't need to back up your stories but you want to see a birth certificate...funny stuff.
