Embarassing finale. The fans in the bleachers were understandably pissed. Was a fun time today with the nsbb crew. Seth's heckling of Soriano in left was awesome as was seeing the sleepy asian kid (I wasn't sure if he was alive) a few sections away. But the end was terrible and there needs to be some accountability for stupidity ASAP.

and... "K's give me wood", which I was skimming through this thread and it appears that it was shown on TV, but it wasn't noticed that it was a six year old girl holding it.

If only I had been a couple spots back in line ;) Congrats! I realize my offer was low.

For those who didn't watch the game and are planning to watch BBTN, Sportscenter, or anything else that does a game re-cap, please don't. Your IQ will take a sudden decrease.

So..in an effort not to go through 47 pages of this thread...aside from the result...how'd Wood look?

I didn't watch, but the general consensus of those that did was that his motion/mechanics looked smooth and good. His velocity was a bit down (92-94 FB), but he wasn't wild. It seems the strike zone was small, and that had an effect as two questionable calls by the ump on pitches turned potential strikeouts into hrs. Even with the small zone, no walks and 6 Ks. Was moderately efficient as far as pitch counts per inning is concerned.

All in all, generally favorable/positive reviews for the first start of the year.
