Your reliever picks up save # 11 to lead both leagues in Saves and you guys respond by booing him. That is touching.

11 for 13 in save opportunities despite an ERA near 6 gets that done to ya now in this time i guess.

no, but I can channel myself.

Can you channel us some runs? Maybe convince Cobb or Shoeless Joe to take pity on us?

well, the good news is you don't have to waste your time writing game recaps - just change the date and starting pitchers.

I wonder what Tim would think if the re-cap read, we suck...gave up a bunch of runs...make up how.

with all due respect to those on this forum, astros fans in my experience are awful.

I take exception to that. There are plenty of diehards who have followed the team devoutly pre-Enron Field. Biggio and Bagwell have not just set the mood in the clubhouse, they have created a fanbase that enjoys to see baseball played well. The issue I have is that the gimmick ballpark and the addition of Clemens have lowered the fan IQ considerably. The positive from that is that those "fans" pour more money into the team. I never dreamt that the Astros would be able to have this competitive of a payroll. They'll eventually either smarten up or jump ship.

yes, there are exceptions.

Count me as another Astros fan that thinks booing Lidge is ridiculous. Even though he's getting it done ugly sometimes, he's getting it done.

As Mike Scott said, the addition of Clemens and the NL Championship has brought people out to the park that normally would not be there (as it would for any fanbase) and each team has its fair share of bandwagon idiots.

And as for your experiences with Astros fans, I'm sorry if some of them have been idiots. Please don't judge all of us by them. Yes, we have plenty of stupid and ignorant fans, but so does everyone else.

I don't and I would make the same statement about cub fans.
