I'll be surprised if they're able to play tonight in Jackson. The weather doesn't look good at all.

It could dry out a bit by 7:05 out there:

EDIT: And we have a rain delay in Des Moines for the start of game 1 of Memphis-Iowa:

EDIT #2: Gallagher and the Chiefs will have to deal with rain too:

Nice!

Jupiter scores 2 runs on 3 hits in the bottom of the 5th, 2-1 Jupiter.

There was a close play at the plate, but the runner was ruled safe.

DJAXX, are they going to get the game off in Jackson?

When I left Jackson, it certainly didn't look that way. According to the map, the first big wave of storms has made its way through Jackson. However, I see that another patch of storms is getting close to Tennessee.

Judging by the map, they'll definitely try and should be able to get at least half the game in with no worries.

Agreed. The Hershey's Kiss-Mobile was parked outside when I left. It would be a shame if people didn't get out there to see it.

Hopefully Ron remembered to bring a big fly swatter tonight.

Gallagher is done after 5.1 IPs. He left with the bases loaded on an E-4, a single and a BB. His last few pitches were in the dirt.

ETA: final line - 5.1 IPs, 6H, 3R, 2ER, 6K/3BB

Carlos Vazquez is the RP; he gives up a single to score an unearned run, then Ks the next two hitters.

Daytona scores 1 run in the top of the 7th on two hits, including an rbi single by Sam Fuld.

3-2 Jupiter at stretch time.

For the record, I was able to get the Q & A with Pat Listach completed today. Hopefully it'll get posted in the next few days.
