I have seen some people dropping him in some of my leaugues. I picked him up if I had an extra DL spot.

 

What's your opinion, is this a smart move or not?

If you don't need the spot, its a wise move. Most leagues have people stashing away guys like Delmon Young knowing he's taking up a total roster spot, not just a DL slot.

It's a great idea as long as your stashing him on the DL. If you have a lot of bench spots, it's not an awful idea if you had him there either.

Its a good idea as long as you dont have any tight move restrictions. If his rehab starts tanking you can drop him, but as of now, he could still pitch a decent chunk of the season.

I traded a spare part for him, and I also have Baez. Dempster is also on my team, so I'm well set at closer regardless of how well Gagne comes back.
