Cubs/Brewers 04/28/2006

I am taking my best friend from High School, well since elementary school, to Wrigley for his first game. He is a die hard Brewer fan so should be an interesting day. We haven't seen either too much over the last 10 years so I hope the Cubs win, otherwise i will never hear the end of it. "Remember when we went to Wrigley and Brewers......". The thing that has me worried is Glendon "Cy" Rusch is the probable starter for that game.

Woo! Time for some cross-border fireworks!

 

The Brew Crew coming off of their first sweep of a real team (the Pirates don't count), and ready to play in Wrigley.

 

Luckily for us, you won't see Tomo Ohka on his Dr. Jekyll day (he's gone from 7 IP, 2 ER and 4 IP 4-5 ER on every second start. seriously), and our one slumping pitcher (Davis) is facing [expletive] McGivesuplotsofruns himself, Glendon Rusch.

 

I'm so glad that guy's not a Brewer anymore.

Maddux is now starting that game and Rusch is pitching on Saturday.

Only if Maddux goes 9. They'll get roughly 0.11 per inning. :wink:

The Brewers will either get one run off Maddux in seven-eight innings or chase him in the fifth with six.

 

You can never tell which lineup will take the field on a given day.

Thanks, I called my buddy last night and he was more excited to see Maddux than I think he was to see the Brewers.
