Wow, thanks for the heads up! Of course, I've been in the room to buy tickets for at least 10 minutes now and I keep getting a message saying that the volume is too high. :x

Seriously, this is freaking ridiculous. 10 minutes later, and I'm still getting the same damn messages - and I have two windows open that I'm in! What the hell?!

really, what's happening to you is not all that uncommon for the VWR system.

try the first day of ticket sales for the cubs - last year, i had well over a hundred windows open over a dozen computers (yay for working in a research lab where nobody was using them that day) and didn't get a chance to purchase tickets once (this was over 8+ hours).

No, this is different.

Once you actually get in and try to buy tickets you get a message saying the transaction volume is too high and to try again later. I've been trying for a while now while still getting the same message.

That's not really any different than being in the VWR. You're just at a different step in the process waiting forever.
It is when you have to wait through the VWR just to be frustrated further by high transaction volumes.

That you have to keep retrying.

I sat in the Cubs waiting room for 7 hours last year before getting in.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. But you can't imagine how frustrating it is to actually get in and select the tickets you want, only to be told that the computer system sucks and can't process your request.
