Roster cuts coming?

I don't think Koronka is nearly as bad as you think he is. Since he's moved to the bullpen, he's picked up a few ticks on his fastball. He was lights out in the Arizona Fall League (allowed no runs) and he's pitched well this Spring.

 

The final spot must be between Wuertz and Koronka. I'd still like to see Wuertz get the nod, as he had such a good year last year. The spot is his to lose.

 

He may be worse than I think he is. Exhibit A. And just because he's competing with Wuertz doesn't mean he's worthy of a spot. Wuertz isn't all that great either.

He's going to be the 5th starter when they go to it.

It's down to either Koronka or Theriot.

If the Cubs decide to go with 12 pitchers: Koronka stays & Theriot gets sent down.

If the Cubs go with 11 pitchers it vice-versa.
