It's mostly fluff, but here's a nice article about Lee.

I really like this quote.

"There are things I can do better," Lee said before a recent workout. "I had shoulder and knee injuries that slowed me a little at the end, and I can do more with my speed. I'm looking to steal more bases this year."

And a little on Lee's contract status.

But Lee says he wants to stay in Chicago and is willing to take less money to do so. Lee has instructed his agent, Casey Close, to negotiate with Cubs general manager Jim Hendry to get a deal done before Opening Day. Even with a so-called hometown discount, it will be a huge payday for Lee, who earned $7.7 million last season.

"It would be nice to get it done by the end of spring training - I want to stay here," said Lee, 30, who figures to sign something like the five-year, $60 million contract slugging first baseman Paul Konerko of the crosstown White Sox got this past winter.

4 year contract max, please.

52/4 years...gets more per year than Konerko but one less year total. Would that get it done?

I think that would be plenty. If it isn't enough then we shouldn't do it.
