It seems as though if you have mlb.tv you can watch even the spring training games that aren't on WGN tv or radio. Is this true? The front Cubs page advertises "spring training games included" and if you go to cubs.com schedule all of the spring training games have a little "mlb.tv" link on them.

I just want to make sure because I am going to sign up just so I can watch all the Cubs spring training games. I have waited long enough for baseball and I'm not going to be miss a game because they are too stingy to put them all on TV!!

Is anybody else doing the same thing? I wasn't able to contact customer service today so I was just wondering does it sound like you can really watch all Cubs ST games on mlb.tv??

Some games aren't on MLB.TV - based on comments in today's game thread, it sounds like today's wasn't. Tomorrow's game is.

EDIT: Looking ahead through the month, it looks like all remaining ST games will be on MLB.TV.

That's what it looks like. I am going to look at some of the other teams ST broadcast schedules to see if it matches with the games the Cubs don't broadcast. I really do want to watch the Cubs play all their games this ST and mlb.tv seems to be the way to do it!

I don't think all the spring training dates are to be broadcast on mlb.tv like the Cubs' calendar schedule says. When you click on the mlb.tv link on the calendar it takes you to the mlb.tv page and their schedule only has the Saturday game (which is already on WGN) listed as being the only Cubs' broadcast for this week. I think putting the mlb.tv link on every date is a just another way to shill for the service. I could always be wrong though and I would be very happy to be so in this case.

MLB.tv has puts up weekly schedules and there's only one Cubs game being shown this week.

Well I'll wait until tommorow then to sign up, they were closed when I called today. I want to hear their word about it. If they don't broadcast every Cubs ST game, then they can forget my money this year.

You'd think with all the different teams playing, when one team doesn't broadcast locally, the other one would. So they'd then have the broadcast available to stream. But whatever.

Well I checked tommorow which according to the schedule page you'd think all games were posted on mlb.tv.

But on Seatle's page

Friday, March 3 vs Cubs 12:05 PM radio KOMO

THEY aren't broadcasting it, so I've deducted there is no way it could be on mlb.tv

I'm glad I came here first. MLB isn't going to swindle me out of my money.

I'm gonna skip this year and save the $100. I'll use that $100 for signing up to Direct TV HD instead so I can enjoy some HD games. I've only got an old panny 42" HDTV but it should still look good.

If you sign up now you get free ST and WBC games anyway. I don't see why not...

It's kind of pointless for me since they don't show any games the Cubs are in (or a Cubs team member) that aren't broadcast around here anyway. That would have been my incentive, if they had ALL CUbs ST this year.

Since they don't, I opted to try this HDTV all the hubbub is about.

I've had mlb.tv the past two years when I lived in Michigan. Now that I'm back in Chicago I'd like to get the package for when I'm at work or any other time I can watch on my laptop. Does anyone know if I'd be blacked out of Cubs games since I'm in Chicago now?
