Well, not really "featured". It's not the cover story or anything. But there is a whole page of the magazine devoted to it.

He works out five days per week in the offseason near his home in Georgia at a training center where a lot of NFL stars work out in their offseason.

Some of the things he does....

--Catching a ball thrown softly from 5 feet away, with 45 pounds of resistance attached to him. He then jumps up into a throwing stance. 3 sets of 15

--Wearing cords on his feet with four pounds of resistance attached from waist to heel. He does stepping exercises on the ground, and even goes up and down a 15-foot ladder.

-- One knee and both hands drop down in a blocking motion to the right, and then to the left. He does 3 sets of 15 each way with 45 pounds of resistance. Great exercise for blocking balls in the dirt.

--A hitting exercise: Three sets of 15 swings with a harness attached around his waist and over his shoulders with 30 pounds of resistance. He then does one set of 15 without the weight.

-- Does a set of 10 quarter jumps (only about a 1/4 squat before jumping), a set of 10 full jumps (squatting down as far as possible and jumping as high as possible), and 10 "fast jumps" (jumping as fast as he can) with 100 pounds of resistance. It's a great exercise for popping up trying to throw a runner out.

And finally, he does 20 minutes of sparring and punching a heavy bag, 20 minutes of muay thai (hitting a padded surface with his shins, knees, and elbows), and 20 minutes of "ground and pound" (don't think I wanna know).

Talking about his hour of self defense exercise, he says this:

"....I wouldn't mind trying to be an Ultimate Fighter after my baseball career."

but he seems like such a nice guy.

Zambrano should just point at Edmonds and say "sick 'em, boy!"

Actually, Carlos and Barrett should consider squashing Edmonds between the two of them.

Who would win in this tag-team wrestling match: Barrett & Aramis vs. Pujols and Rolen?

LEN: I think it would be a really tight match. Wow, that’s a tough one…Pujols and Rolen are huge, but Michael can take care of himself and Aramis is no slouch. I’ll go with the Cubs guys (would you expect me to say anything else?)

My guess is big Z could easily step in for Aramis, and we could substitute Edmonds for Rolen with the same result.

Naw. Edmonds would like that. It might even be one of his fantasies.

I REALLY like the idea of Barrett being a tough guy and being quick out of the crouch. I can't wait to see what happens the first time someone wants to charge Woody for throwing a little chin music...

Think Farnsworth vs Wilson...

hahaha! that is great. The only problem is... Edmonds might enjoy that. Babombom.

Z & Barrett could be one kickbutt team. Now, after hearing that, I really wish Oswalt would have started something...
