It's like watching hell. Actual hell.

I've gone eight years since the last time my team won a championship - and it may never happen again.

I root for the Eagles, Flyers, Sixers and Cubs. I was 5 when the Sixers won, I don't even like the NBA that much, and I don't even remember them winning that championship. I don't want to hear it from anyone who is a Bulls/Red Wings fan, I wish I had it so easy.

I don't count the Red Wings in that - they won in 2002. I don't count them because while I like them, a Stanley Cup victory to me only qualifies as a small fist pump on the sports team scale.

Straight ticket philly except for mlb? what happened?

My dad traveled a lot as a kid and never really had a baseball team that he rooted for regularly, but baseball was his favorite sport, and I guess he always kind of liked the Cubs. Then he went to University of Chicago for his PhD and was there for 5 years, and became a big Cubs fan. We moved to the Philly area right after I was born, and my dad didn't really have teams that he rooted for in the other sports, but he did bring me up on the Cubs. The others I was free to choose on my own, and naturally I chose the home teams. As for my dad, he is now a Sixers and Cubs fan mostly... I guess he will kind of root for the Eagles and Flyers, mostly for my sake.

Should have done a few more of those big passes, Delhomme - things might be way different.

Yeah, he might have more INT's

Yeah, he might have more INT's

He's 2 for 3 for about 90 yards and a TD on those long passes, so I seriously doubt that.

I don't.

The Hawks couldn't defend against the long pass to save their lives last year. Admittedly I didn't see a lot of that today, but what I did see hints that it still might be a problem. Rothlisburger (sp?) should be taking notes.

Carolina's 3 best hits have resulted in 45 yards of penalties. That's the kind of game it's been and that's why I made the mid-game sig change.

Sorry man, tough game. They'll be back next year.

Kinda like Frosty the Snowman?

your NFL team is a whole heck of a lot closer than mine to winning a championship.

I'm not so sure. Their 2006 schedule looks like this:

vs ATL

@ATL

vs TB

@TB

vs NO

@NO

vs DAL

vs PHI

@NYG

@WAS

vs CLE

vs PIT

@BAL

@CIN

vs STL

@MIN

Now I dunno about you, but I only consider 3 of those games to be layups, Cleveland and the Saints games. Every other game is going to be at least a little worrisome and at least 8 are going to be outright battles. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like 9-7 and no playoffs next season.

Is Mr.INT coming back next year???

He signed a 5-year extension after 2003, so he's around for 3 more years.

Most of us here know the feeling. (and it was good to see it happen to them after they did it to us) :twisted:

LOL - someone outside just shot off some victory fireworks.

Meanwhile, my b/f is at the sewing machine, griping about how people take sports wayyyy to seriously.

Yes, we have some gender role issues in this household. :-)

Congratulations Kat. I know you guys have waited for this for a long time. Good luck in the Super Bowl. Definitely got beat by the far better team today!
