I am getting excited now. Tivo set and I will (hopefully) have some down time at work to enjoy some of the game. At least the seahawks are fianlly getting some love but I still don't get how people can discount the #2 rated passer in the NFL, saying that Hasselback can't get it done. And last time I checked the Seahawks have the MVP in their backfield and even at 75% he is better then the 3rd string Goings. And the upcoming Jones pancake block on Peppers is going to be fun to watch!

I'm worried about this one - I know I picked Carolina but with Peppers and Morgan not at full strength and having to rely on Goings it's going to be a stretch. However the Panthers have run stuffed Barber and Jones the last two weeks and as a whole have been solid against the run (discounting that awful Cowboys game). Their secondary has proven to be among the better by beating two young 'uns but I don't know how they'll do against a guy with more experience.

 

Either way, it's been a great season - and I look forward to a great game.

I've always wondered about that. You wouldn't need to go on a "Beer Run" if you just stocked up on Saturday night.

 

On that topic, isn't beer unsellable in most states on Sundays?

I don't know about most states. In Colorado you can buy beer at grocery stores on Sundays. A lot of states allow local regulation of alcohol sales.

Personally, I think it's over. Jake is pretty much going to have to win the game for Denver now. Denver rarely EVER trailed in a game this season, and when you're ahead, QB's are less aggressive.

Denver's D couldn't stop the pass all year. They relied on ball control to win. They can't stop Pittsburgh on third down today.

What rumors? UM's too stupid to fire Lloyd Carr so I wouldn't think that'll happen. That said, I am now officially worried that we'll lose Trgo. He's a dynamite coordinator. Why can't he be like Monte Kiffin and just reject all overtures?
