I wish the Cubs would of signed this kid. I played against him, he is the real deal. His numbers at rookie ball include 10 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA in 6 innings.

Lots of people on this forum wanted him to fall to the Cubs in the second round, including a couple of people who've seen him firsthand. Pawelek in the first and Veal in the second is a pretty good haul, though.

 

Honestly, from everything I've read and heard about him, I wish him nothing but the best with Boston.

Best player in the area since Honel. He's rare for this area, curious to see if uses a curve or slider and how well his change develops. He's got some adjustments to make, but he has evrything you want.

 

For a player that would be a collegiate freshman, he's more like a collegiate junior.
