Cmon Rondell White might last 50 games in the OF, if that. He's not an everyday fielder. Would have loved to have him as a platoon though.

On KFAN (Twin cities radio station I listen to online for Vikings coverage) they said White was signed to be the DH in Minnesota. Ryan said this ended their pursuit of Piazza.

 

White can produce fairly well and that's a reasonable contract. But you simply can't count on him to play even close to everyday when he's also playing in the field.

That's a good fit for Rondell. He won't be asked to play the OF hardly at all.

True, but he's solid 3/4's of the time, and I'll take a 75% RF over a 33% RF any day of the week.

You guys are all wet. Jacques can really catch the ball. And sheez, we had to compete with Kansas City and Detroit to get him, the competition was fierce! You know a player is a hot commodity when the two most recent teams to lose 100 games in a season are after him. And the third team will lose 100 soon enough, too!
