Probably because they can get quality offense for dirt cheap, meanwhile starting pitching is going at about 8m an arm per year.

If the Red Sox get Crisp, maybe they'll trade Nixon to us. A Nixon-Craig Wilson RF platoon would be a wrecking machine, assuming you could duct tape Nixon together well enough to get 130 games out of him.

Apparently, Nomar was in LA on Thrs. and Friday meeting w/ the McCourt's and Coletti. Mia was w/ him yesterday. I bet he signs w/ LA, as they already have a home in Manhattan Beach.

I also wouldn't mind Nomar playing third. Boone was a huge hole in our offense last year. However, we might another pitcher. Elarton just signed with the Royals. We still have Sabathia, Westbrook, Lee, and Bird.
