I don't know much about Stewart but I have a problem using our first pick on a RB. No need to draft a DE either, absolutely no reason for it.

Julius Jones sucks. He wasn't even half of what Marion Barber was. I don't think he's even better than Benson.

Maurice Williams re-signed with the Jaguars. Only two guards left and it looks as though the Bears aren't interested. Is Angelo really expecting to fix all these issues via draft? OT, OG, Safety, RB, WR, QB

Christ he could have gotten that from us. He asked for 2mil/yr, IIRC. Have fun in BAL -- that's a franchise that won't be good again for a long time IMO. We probably could have matched but chose not to. I don't blame the Bears, I'm sure they've had enough dealing with Rosenhaus as it was.

Yeah, the line should be priority 1. Not saying Orton is going to be our next starting QB but I was pleased with his performance the last couple of games. He looked to have improved a bit from the time he started in his rookie year. I'm starting to think that drafting a QB this year being that it is a weak QB year isn't a great idea. Work on drafting a OTackle, Safety, WR and RB in this year's draft. We can draft a QB next year.

At the same time I think having Ron Turner as the coordinator also hurts our offense. The guy was outright bad last year. I'm truly shocked he wasn't fired.

I really wonder what the Bears have up their sleeve with the 1st and 2nd pick. I can see them going QB, Line but I don't see them going for a RB, not in this draft when it's really deep. We have a lot of holes to fill, I don't know how Angelo will pull a rabbit out of his arse to get us back to the playoffs.

well get the tissues ready, because some tears are in your future I should also add that I'll be pretty surprised. I haven't seen any strong, valid indications that Angelo is looking at a RB with that pick. Yeah, I'd be pretty surprised (and pissed). Do people want a RB if Mendenhall is gone (i.e. Stewart instead)? Because I gather that a lot of the folks who want RB are also Illinois fans who would love nothing but to see Mendenhall on the Bears. we've seen mendenhall run. believe me, we wouldn't want mendenhall if he weren't worth it. like i said, powerful enough to run over linebackers and fast enough to run away from defensive backs. he has it all, lateral speed, pass catching ability, above average blocking, and he's a dart to the hole. every touch against wisconsin: check out the first highlight, missouri fans know it well: I don't know if it's the video but damn does he look fast.

Probably because they felt he wasn't worth 2mil at his age and couldn't guarantee him playing time. Sucks to lose him but I'm sure someone will step up and pick up the slack.

I'm glad Griese is gone. He was worse than I thought he would be for the Bears.

Crisp is OK but I'd rather have him over Marquis so I would swap players. I seriously doubt the Orioles really want Marquis but Boston might with all the injuries.

I would have loved to have Javon Walker 1 or 2 years ago but there was talk he needed microfracture surgery to fix his latest issue. That's never a good sign. I don't think he even got the surgery which means he might not be 100%. He's just too risky to give anything of value for him right now.

Even though I think Marshall can be better than Marquis, Dempster and Lieber I feel that he has no chance just because he is a lefty.

Not surprising that Cotts and Takatsu were the worst pitchers of this game. Can somebody ask Jimbo why he didn't get rid of Cotts last year? The guy sucks.
