  1. You can tell his hamstring is bothering him, he should rest if he isn't 100%
  2. You gotta love Theriot. Man, just ridiculous he isn't our starting SS, ridiculous.
  3. Why is Izturis in this game? Whatever happened to Theriot being our SS? Maybe my theory on Hendry applying pressure to Lou to start Izturis might be true.
  4. Milwaukee just tied. Not like I expect Simontacchi to beat the Brewers anyway.
  5. Youre right. It does give us a better chance to win. The only reason why you would go with Pie and Murton over Jones and Floyd is defense and I think right now we can use every part of offense we can get.
  6. Their schedule has looked a lot like the Cubs' so far, and it's going to be similar to the Cubs in the near future. Very true. Their upcoming schedule: Nats, NYM, PHI, MIN, LAD, SD, ATL, FLA
  7. I'll be happy with either of them. Of course this is reading what others/scouts have said. I have not seen any of them play.
  8. I'm thinking Miller, Marshall, and Marmol are our options if Guzman falters.
  9. Dusty a goner was a HUGE plus for me.
  10. If that doesnt sound like a certain manager we all used to love I dont know what does. Im not saying Lou is like him, but this quote just reminded me of him. Also for the millionth time, please send Pie down so he can get more than 9 ab's in a week...please! Lou was on pregame yesterday speaking with Santo and he mentioned how the question comes up every day regarding the OF situation and he mentioned how he was tired of answering those questions. I can understand where he's coming from a bit. We have a lot of OFers right now and trying to find room for all of them is difficult. At some point at least one of them has to be traded or Murton be sent back to the minors so he can at least get more ABs.
  11. I care, that's why I asked. Your opinion on Wood and Prior has been documented, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Give it a rest. You don't care about them, to the point of coming off as hating them. We get it. Did you really need to come into this thread to post that riveting, thoughtful, and tremendously helpful reply? I'm not going to give it a rest so get used to it.
  12. Colon just went down with a biceps injury.
  13. Doesn't matter anymore. He's a member of the Reds now and don't see him becoming a Cub.
  14. I don't see how Guzman is overrated. He's pitched far better than Miller and he currently gives us the best chance to win as the 5th starter. I'll take Guzman over Miller 10/10 times. He didn't look bad yesterday. He also looked dominant when pitching out of the bullpen for us. Let's hope he's successful in his new role.
  15. We're definitely in a good position if we end up with any of Price, Wieters, or Vitters. I just hope Wilken doesn't surprise us with a Colvin-like draft. Not that COlvin has been nad for us but I would like to see us get a consensus top 3 pick.
  16. who cares..he'll come back throw an inning and go back to where he belongs..the DL.
  17. Per Rotoworld Cedeno will be sent down to make room for Guz.
  18. Per Rotoworld: Ronny Cedeno was seen clearing out his locked following Saturday's game, suggesting he'll be sent down to make room for Sunday's starter, Angel Guzman.
  19. Are Colvin's numbers good enough for him to be promoted to a higher level?
  20. Wow, the Sox are struggling offensively right now. It seems that most of their guys are batting below .250. Erstad has one of the top avg's on the team at .258
  21. I agree, what a bonehead decision. Cost us the game today. :? We won some games with Dusty coaching too. Doesn't mean he made nothing but good decisions in those. Edit: I am upset I haven't seen Lou get tossed yet, though. This is true. He's been more calm than I thought he would be.
