  1. That's pretty much the worst idea I've heard. If some White Sox clown is willing to give me his life savings for two tickets, I'd be foolish not to take it. Why would you be foolish to not take less than face for the tickets? Wow, I really can't tell if that's sarcasm or not.
  2. I don't believe so. I think it sends a message to him and anyone else that that sort of behavior will not be tolerated. Compared to what? Does he think it will be tolerated if he only serves 25 games? It's way out of line with MiLB's previous decisions in these situations. To what are you comparing it to? When was an official attacked with a weapon? I know if I do that at the local softball game, my ass is fired from my job, and charges are brought against me for battery. Delmon got off easy.
  3. I actually think we win today. The odds are incredibly stacked against us. Jason Schmidt who probably should shut out the cubs like he seemingly does every time, will get hammered by our small ball to death offense. That's incredibly irrational, but I think we slaughter the Giants tonight.
  4. Or some fat drunk guy falling on you.
  5. Bonds will be lucky to LIVE til 50, let alone hitting 35 HR's a year.

  7. Reading the first post is fun.
  8. Random note: Chirinos has possibly the weakest arm I've ever seen. Its Pierre bad. Good thing he's at second, though.
  9. For Dusty to stroke Neifi's........... ego.
  10. Got a single for today's game. Should be awesome to see Woody pitching.
  11. I was there tonight. Porous effort on the Bulls' part. Defense was slow with rotations coming off double teams and couldn't close out on the shooter. Also boxing out on the boards was pitiful tonight. Waste of money.
  12. The good news is Juan Cruz is on a fantasy team of mine... What, you wouldn't use a marginal starter against The Cubs? You know you would.
  13. Young is relative when you're as old as you :D Good point, Fred ;)
  14. Seconded. I'll be watching the Lakers-Suns Game 6. I'd rather watch a Devil Rays Vs. Royals game before I watch a Pro-Basketball game. I know a lot of people on this board will be watching the Bulls-Heat Game 6, as long as it's close, before the Cubs game. I'm sure they will... This Cubs isn't nearly as exciting as the Bulls are. The Bulls are young, fresh, and play hard. The Cubs are old, bad, and sometimes unfun to watch.
  15. My next guess is migraines. This is a horrid situation.
  16. Anyone have Neifi DP in the pool? Oh, everyone?
  17. The Cubs are playing so crappy, I"m gonna consider studying soon.
  18. How vague. I'll ask again, what's wrong then, and what is their "diagnosis?"
  19. PLZ GO AWAY NEIFI. PREFERABLY TO THE NEVER REGIONS IN WHICH YOU CAME.
  20. Lets play a game: how does Barrett screw this up?
  21. This is becoming insufferable. I love Prior. He's my favorite Cub. But this mysterious arm injury of doom is annoying the you know what outta me. If its something legit, come out with it. We don't hear ANYTHING about what the actual problem is.
  22. I'M GOING TOO!
  23. And you defeated me. Congrats. All of my best guys got benched in the last week of the season (the three Pistons, Lebron, etc.) b/c their teams were well established in their seeds. My philosophy of drafting guys from winning teams is great during the reg. season, but can hurt in the playoffs. Still, I can't be unhappy with my results. Can't say I didn't warn you ;)
