I must say that I love the Wiz uniforms. And more Thabo. And a lot less Griffin (what purpose does he serve?). Gotta get Tyrus and Thabo more minutes with Noc out so in the playoffs we aren't counting on losers like Griff to give us a few solid minutes. I miss Noc and want him to be healthy, however, does anyone have an idea if this could potentially make him less valuable on the open market and allow the Bulls to sign him to a cap friendly deal? Am I the only one a bit perplexed of having Tyrus in on defense in the last few seconds? It would make more sense to have Big Ben out there...

Hometown discounts shouldn't be expected. They should be considered as a pleasant surprise if they happen. Like Z has said, this is a business, and this is his best chance at free agency. Pitchers @ 25 may only get one big contract. I understand he can live off it for the rest of his life, but for him is to get it while he can.

I'd say Wood is a better prospect than Ramirez. Wood has incredible power potential at a position that has so few guys with that kind of power potential. If I made a deal with Anaheim, Wood would need to be one of the guys in the deal. Period. Maybe they couldn't get Adenhart as well, but I'd want at least one other prospect. Maybe Mathis or Saunders? I wonder what Mr. Hendry thinks of this Wood fellow. Still, it's such a gamble to make a move like that unless you are deadnuts sure he's going to be good. There's a reason the Angels would be considered great partners for a potential deal with Santana if the opportunity arose. Wood, Adenhart, Kendrick, and Weaver are all dynamite young players that could entice the Twins greatly if they made Santana available due to signability concerns.
