  1. With the way he's playing right now I don't think ANYONE should vote for Aram.
  2. Bingo! I think this is the real point. Barrett removed the idea that he was available at all which potentially changes how the Brewers will use their bullpen late in the game. This could be a valid argument, for one AB. However the first time Barrett DOESN'T come on to pinch hit in a likely situation the cover's blown anyway. I wouldn't think 1 "phantom" AB would make that much of a difference in the greater scheme of things, though strenger things have happened.
  3. I think this is legit. It's absurd to hide an injury to "bluff". I don't necessarily think bluffing an injury is absurd if there's something to be gained from it. But in this instance, how can the opposition exploit the injury? It's a friggin finger for Keyriced sakes, what are they going to do, try to drill him every time he's up? Not that it was ever in doubt, but this just reaffirms the stupidity that is Dusty Baker. Unbelievable.
  4. At least the Bears first pick is only 5 teams away.
  5. Well, that wasn't smart. Being down 7-0 in this kind of weather you want to take as many pitches as possible in hopes of heavier rain moving in. But that's not going to happen with a 3 min. half inning.
  6. That's Hendry's decision not Dusty's. Baker can't make roster moves. I'm sure they were willing to give Rusch the benefit of the doubt considering he's under contract. If history's worth anything, it seems Hendry will do what Dustyu wants, especially when it comes to a move such as this. Could be wrong though.
  7. Aardsma looks like one hell of a hitter. Bet he doubles.
  8. *(&(*&. That's not going to be good enough.
  9. Dusty owes this team an apology. Rusch should have NEVER started this game and should have been sent down after the first two. Why he continually insists on Glendon over Hill is mindboggling, to put it lightly.
  10. How's the radar looking in the Chicago area? Hopefully its about to rain hard and for a VERY long time.
  11. He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! And isn't 6 innings, 3 ER considered a "quality start?" Or is it 7 innings? Well I guess 6 inninges, 3 ER, and 10 K's isn't doing ANYTHING right according to Anemic Offense. I think he should be more pissed about the correctness of his name, rather than Z's showing today. It's one thing to say Z has made some mistakes, it's another to say he hasn't done anything right. If you can honestly say you've been impressed with Z tonight I'd be shocked. Ks not withstanding. Your standards are unrealistic. He's walked three and struck out 10. It's not alwasy the how many, rather the situations in which you've done so. That is why stats can be extremely deceiving.
  12. He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! It's not about the strikeout. He's pitched poorly overall. I don't buy that this was a "quality start." He made some poor decisions on the mound and allowed himself to be beaten by their few good hitters (namely Cabrera). Like Meat&Potatoes with Ronnie, I call out your anti-Z bias! It's a quality start. 6 innings, 3 earned runs. I'll take it everytime. So you're okay with Z consistetnly with a 4.5 ERA? I'm not, not from him.
  13. He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! And isn't 6 innings, 3 ER considered a "quality start?" Or is it 7 innings? Despite what many people seem to be thinking, this hasn't been a horrible game by Zambrano, simply mediocre. It doesnt matter if you shut out the other team for 9 innings but dont score any runs yourself you havent accomplished much. Horrible? No. However given the circumstances it hasn't been very good.

  15. He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! Doesn't matter when you consistently walk batters and give up crucial hits. If he Ks 15 and gives up 3 in 5 it's still not good enough. Come on though, man. Other teams give up 3 runs and baseball tonight is praising their solid pitching. Z gives up 3 and he's terrible? That's not right. I know, but when he's your "ace" and playing a young inexperienced team this kind of performance isn't what you're looking for. With Z's penchant for pitching well in Wrigley I expected nothing less than 7 IP and 2 Rs.
  16. I'd like to see Ronny lay one down here.

  18. [expletive] Jason Williams. Make me barf
  19. I like the lineup the Bulls have out there now
  20. b/c he's a better hitter than guys like Bynum... Not this year
  21. Vargas joins a long list of less than stellar LHs to own this team
  22. Keyriced. Way to get the clutch hit guys
  23. Come on Z. You could have done at least ONE thing right tonight
  24. This is interesting. Could go either way.
