  1. 3 is a "ton"? Not great, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a ton. In 6 innings it is.
  2. Z looked like -. Judging by his body loanguage I'd say he backed out a long time ago. 1. Family site, please consider the language. 2. Z gave up 4 hits. If that's looking worthless, then more Cub pitchers need to look worthless. Z walked a TON of hitters. He's done that in every one of his starts so far, not a good trend
  3. Z looked like [expletive]. Judging by his body loanguage I'd say he backed out a long time ago. Not quite what I asked, but thanks. I didn't mean anything by it. It was a shot at Z if anything.
  4. I wouldn't mind history repeating itself once again.
  5. Z looked like doodoo. Judging by his body loanguage I'd say he backed out a long time ago.
  6. hence, Milton making it to the seventh after a 26 pitch first inning I didn't start watching until the bottom of the 4th. 26 pitches??? If we would have a smarter manager, he'd make sure his players knew the importance of getting to the Red pen. They might even be worse than their starters.
  7. It's going to be awfully hard to come back with this lineup
  8. Did you really think it was going to stay at .523??? :D
  9. The law of averages is starting to take hold. Neifi's had 2 successive three pitch ABs. Needless to say they've both been outs.
  10. I like the Ronny-o-meter. I'm surprised it took this long to make a comeback.
  11. Dunn and Lopez are HR hitters and the winds blowing out? I wasn't looking for a smart ass answer. What I'm getting at is a trend that started last year. Z gave up almost twice as many homers as he did the year before, which isn't a good thing when he walks as many as he does. In addition to that his K's have gone up while his GF/FO ration has gone down. It seems to me Z is throwing the ball way to hard, which inhibits the sinking action on his fastball. This means more fastballs are staying up in the zone, thus more are being hit out. Question is, what is the cause of the change? Does it have more to do with Z cognizantly trying to throw harder, or is it more of a mechanical issue? IMO, it appears Z has decided to rely more on the K and less on the GB, which I think is a very big mistake.
  12. What's the deal with Z giving up so may homers?
  13. You have a very ironic screen name. For now...yes, and I hope it stays that way. :D
  14. I'm onboard. Now who replaces Ohman???
  15. Another downfall on this team has been their free throw shooting. For most of the year it has been woefully bad.
  16. Gordon doesn't start because he falls asleep too much on defense. He also still commits careless TOs. The Bulls cut Tim Thomas becaue they wouldn't adapt to his style and he wouldn't adapt to theirs. Skiles and Pax don't tolerate noncompliance. As far as the shots are concerned, you're right. Aside from their lack of a consistent inside game, the biggest thing plaguing this team is its woeful shooting. Either they make everything or they make nothing. The other night in Philly I couldn't count on 7 hands the number of wide open shots this team missed. Simply put, the good teams in this league make you pay when you leave them wide open. This team can, but they don't do it consistently. Needless to say it kills them. I know you stated you don't get to see as many games in the NE, but I hope you've had a chance to witness Deng's play. With all the pub Gordon gets, it is Deng who will be the star of this team. The man can drive to the basket, and he is by FAR this team's best defender. Watching Deng play defense is a thing of beauty. Now if he can only stay healthy long enough to hone his shooting skills he'll be a stud. I love Hinrich, Noce, and Ben, but if there is ONE guy on this team who is untradeable its Luol.
  17. I agree with that. His attitude stinks and he really won't fit anywhere on this team (with Jaque stuck in RF). The only logical way to fit him in this lineup would be to trade Murton, which I'm not a big fan of. In addition one would also have to consider the salary ramifications. Assuming this team will have Aram, Lee, Prior, Z, and Cabrera (via trade) around long term, they would be committing roughly $60 million dollars in annual payroll to FIVE guys. Is that really feasible with the self-imposed monetary restraints this team faces? Not at all.
  18. At this point I don't see how it can hurt. There, I did my part.
  19. How long will the Cubs be stuck with him? Three more years. With his contract I don't see how the Cubs can get rid of him even if they wanted to.
  20. It takes time to remove the eyeliner. You're so insensitive. Not to mention the hot water feels good on the bruises from Flash needlessly diving for balls. Gosh, this board is harsh! :P
  21. 2, Cards zip. That is all. :D
  22. \ I'm booig here. Does that count?
  23. Aside from our pitching he's definately been the eyesore.
  24. I didn't know anybody actually uses that... i love it. I'm actually surprised so many use use the game threads. I think the flash chats are much better
  25. You think its dead in heere check out the flash chat
