Stanford has been terrible so far. But I shouldn't be talking. OU has been awful so far too.

Chris Johnson is really, really good. Better than what I thought he would be. That run a few minutes ago was... I didn't know he was capable of that. ...and of course, someone in my fantasy league has him benched for at least the past 2 weeks and my league's trade deadline has passed.

that about sums it up. I wonder who we could get to fill the position. Kevin Wilson, Gus Malzahn, Charlie Strong? There are plenty of OU fans that would be happy if KU took Kevin Wilson or Brent Venables.

That guy is really stupid. For one he calculates the results and hey going for it was the better choice. Then he says football is played on the field as if saying playing the percentages is stupid. Umm yeah you go ahead and do what makes you more likely to lose and I'll go with what's more likely to win. Plus going for it is saying my offense can beat your defense i.e. he was deciding the game on the field. I don't think the calculator was meant to be serious. For one thing, it allows the individual to choose their own odds. I could have made the decision to go for it grossly wrong and then come over here and say "I IS RIGHT !!!1!! YOUZ RONG!!!1!" Same with you. This analysis is a lot better. It also says I'm probably wrong.

I thought the reward wasn't nearly worth the risk of that 4th down call. Giving Peyton Manning 30 yards to a win vs 70 or so yds to a win isn't worth it there. Converting the 4th down doesn't win you the game there. So why not punt?

i can only speak on behalf of the big 12, but all the SIDs i worked with say that manhattan is the worst, followed by lubbock, then ames. waco's probably after that. i don't know a ton about stillwater. i've been to lincoln, which is kind of boring but seems mostly alright, and lawrence which seemed pretty similar to columbia. my problem with lawrence is that the campus is built on a hill and i'm fat so it was a bitch walking to and from the stadium. Stillwater fits as a cowtown. The people there take that as a compliment.

Also, Toby Gerhart should be in the Heisman race. He's got better numbers than Mark Ingram.

I think a lot of Big 12 fans (especially fans of Big 12 South schools) forget Iowa State is in the conference.
