I have no idea why Stoops seems so willing to leave Oklahoma, but that would make 2 jobs he's been linked to this offseason that really aren't any better (no offense). His name probably showed up because he's rumored for every job opening.

and every single team in the nfl would have taken darren mcfadden far higher than either of them. like i said, i don't get it. drafting matt forte ahead of rice and charles is not something bears fans should be red-assed over. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f220/triberocks4/Sidelines/AlDavis.jpg This is a big reason why Darren McFadden is terrible.

He's unbearable. I don't understand why it's so difficult for ESPN to find good commentators. What's really funny is how much better Gruden is compared to Tony Kornheiser. Although he did just call that duck TD pass a "perfectly thrown ball." -

Anybody have any thoughts on Torbush and Long. I'm ashamed to say I don't know much about either. Wasn't Long the OC at OU when Jason White was the QB? If so, I think that reflects pretty well on Long based on how well White played under him and how little of a career he's had after OU. Yes, Chuck "3rd and" Long was the OC who helped Jason White and his 2 bad knees earn a Heisman. Long was also Mangino's replacement as OU's OC after Mangino was hired by Kansas. OU fans don't like him, but I really don't understand Sooner fans' constant hatred of assistants.

According to Sagarin ratings, the Pac-10 is 0-16 against the top 50. (SEC 6-13, Big 12 7-5, Big Ten 10-12, Big East 14-10, ACC 10-13...A-10 2-16, Big West 1-11, Colonial 1-14, CUSA 1-8, Horizon 1-13, MVC 2-6, MWC 3-3, WCC 4-9, WAC 1-13) Palm's RPI sees Conference USA and the Mountain West ahead of the Pac-10.

Stoops said he "intends" to stay at OU. Reading the transcript of that interview, he certainly does not come off authoritative, and he's given the opportunity by a reporter to directly say he's not going anywhere and instead kind of dances around the question. If he wanted to shut people up (including ND), here's the statement he could make: That paragraph would get people off his back, and that paragraph is what he's not saying. This isn't to call him a liar or say I believe he's on the edge of coming to ND or anything (I certainly believe he hasn't had any direct contact with anyone at ND right now), I just am skeptical that this is over. Also to note: The Tulsa World reported early this morning that OU would be releasing a statement later 'this morning' to further debunk the latest rumors. It's 3 pm in Oklahoma and nothing new's come out yet. Seen this yet?

I think ODU might be pretty decent. And not just bc they beat OU, who looks terrible this year. I think you are getting Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth mixed up. Not that it matters, because Old Dominion could probably run the Sooners out of the gym too.
