    I'm still wondering why everyone is allergic to KU in this. Money. There aren't enough people in Kansas to dramatically shift profits, and their football team isn't exactly rich in tradition. Neither are Mizzou, Oklahoma State, or Texas Tech. KU at least gets TV sets with their basketball team.

    Ditto with Mexico, but I think both advance. i think mexico is pretty boned. france and uruguay are good teams and mexico has to play south africa in their opening game, which will be full of emotion. I think Group A is the toughest group to pick because all sides have something going for them. I can see every team finishing in any spot. Mexico has looked good in friendlies and has good young strikers, Uruguay has great forwards in Forlan and Suarez, France has typically been a quality side, and South Africa is at home.

    France 0-1 China on ESPN2 Seriously, it's ugly. China scored on a free kick and the ball moved and hopped like a knuckleball with spit on the side of it. Here's that goal.

    Japan scored all 3 goals in an England 2-1 victory this morning. Many accounts say England didn't play their hardest. Ohh Lampard missed a PK in it as well.

    I'd guess Canada is about as good as Cape Verde Islands. Argentina's 2nd team is probably as good as Canada.
