This is why I don't go into game threads. Everyone is so negative. I can't tell whether the Cubs are up 10 runs or down 10 runs when I read these things.

Why would you take that over Longoria/Carpenter?? He traded away Carp, so I forced him to throw in Jurrjens and Jiminez. The trade got vetoed anyway. My league decided that no one is gonna trade players anymore after Martin, Jeter, and Rivera for Erick Aybar, Pierzynski and Peavy didn't pass.

I think you mentioned as long as he stay healthy. I remember Maradona in the '94 WC at the end of his career and he still had the ability to change a country all by himself. Then of course he got caught with dope and was suspended and Argentina fell apart. I think he is the most creative and natural goal scorer since him and will surpass him at some point. He is the most efficient player I have ever seen. He doesn't waste a chance. Even if he misses he is on goal and putting pressure on the keeper. I want to see how the marketing engine is going to work on him this summer in the States. He is everything MJ was, Lebron, Tiger, Federer, Manning, and Pujols are except much bigger on the global scale. He should become a household name in the US this year. Not if Argentina look like they did during qualifying.

I ended up trading Pujols and Carlos Quentin for Evan Longoria, Jair Jurrjens and Ubaldo Jiminez.

OK, so I'm not very happy with my pitching and my best 3B is Casey Blake. I decided to dangle Pujols to see what would come up because I also have Morneau and Votto. I'm in a Yahoo 6x6 league that counts doubles and WHIP as well as the normal stuff. Anyway, I've got 2 offers so far I get: -Evan Longoria -Chris Carpenter I give: -Albert Pujols -Casey Blake I'm feeling pretty strongly about this one. I'm thinking I'm gonna get great value for Pujols in this trade. The other one: I get: -Victor Martinez -Felix Hernandez I give: -Albert Pujols -Jhonny Peralta 1) Am I crazy for even dagling Pujols even though I have glaring needs elsewhere? 2) Would anyone else here do these trades?

OK, could anyone please tell me why there are all these world-class players being linked to MLS teams? I think it's great for the league, but all of this talk about getting the greatest players in the world to transfer to the US to play for like 10% of the money they were making in Europe. Also, how would returns back to their original teams work? Are these guys just going to be on 1-month loans or something?

12 team league on Yahoo, standard 5x5 but this league also counts doubles for hitters. C-Napoli 1B-Pujols 2B-A. Hill SS-Scutaro 3B-Blake OF-Ellsbury OF-Hunter OF-Ethier Util-Votto Util-Morneau Bench-Quentin Bench-Brantley Bench-Peralta Bench-Cabrera SP-Cain SP-Baker RP-Valverde RP-Soriano P-Floyd P-Oswalt P-Buehrle P-O'day Bench-Aardsma This is the first time I've played fantasy baseball. I like my offense (got Pujols \:D/ ), but not my pitching. Any pointers? Ohh and does anyone have any sleepers I should think about picking up? Specifically pitchers?

The tempo of this game is pretty clearly in Tennessee's favor right now. Izzo doesn't seem like a coach who favors up-and-down play.

I'm not watching either game right now, but looking at the scores I'm guessing all teams playing are allergic to nylon.

The NCAA needs to structure the tournament in a way where Gus gets all of the games. I would strongly approve of this. Gus calling the UNI/Kansas game would be truly amazing. Hearing him call the Michigan St/Maryland game yesterday would have been epic.

Drogba is such a douche. An Inter/Barca matchup would be a lot of fun. Is it just me or is Inter full of world-class players in their primes?

I got Kansas, Syracuse, WVU and Duke in my Final 4, but I hate my bracket. It feels too chalky. Also, I don't understand why Pomeroy loves Wisconsin. I don't understand it, but I went with it.
