  1. Vid was taken down, but I saw the goal. It was a thing of beauty. Amazing.
  2. You think Gooch would get any PT if he were healthy?
  3. This Nebraska-Iowa State game is one of the ugliest I've ever seen.

  5. I hope this isn't bad for Onyewu. He just came down awkwardly on his leg.
  6. The Alamo Bowl is not better than the Holiday Bowl.
  7. I'm curious to see if he'll play again.
  8. Now if only the NCAA would do this at USC...
  9. Dez Bryant of Oklahoma State has been ruled ineligible per multiple news reports.
  10. Because some OU fans think the team should basically never lose, ever. I never understood why people criticize OSU and Oklahoma or any school like that for not winning the big game. A: it's not easy to get to that point. You have to be a really, really good team to get to that point and B: It's incredibly hard to beat the number one team in the country multiple seasons. It's called perspective. Oklahoma fans, especially those who became fans this decade, have lost perspective. When OU loses, the fans always want the DC's or OC's (or both) heads. Most of them didn't see the brand of football that was played before Stoops came to OU. They didn't see 4 different QBs on a single drive. They didn't see the offensive philosophy change between drives. They didn't see OU get flagged for 14 men on the field once. Basically, they didn't see the sad hilarity that is .250 football. Stoops' NC in 2000 spoiled them. Currently, a lot of people are calling for Kevin Wilson's head. (Yes, he was a former assistant at Northwestern.) Just last season his offense averaged 50+ pts/game. There's only 1 player currently healthy and playing for OU that was on that offense last season. Now, in the Miami game, he was calling a lot of delay draw plays on a lot of 3rd and long situations. I didn't understand it. But firing the guy who just came off that kind of season is ludicrous. (Cue imb: fIRE VenaBLEZ!!1!!!)

  12. Oh, I'd love a guy like Stoops. But Stoops ain't leaving OU, ever. Kelly's Catholic, a family guy, and pretty clearly a very good football coach. He'd be perfect. There are more than a few OU fans who would probably be happy with Stoops going somewhere else. Dumb ones. For the record I'm perfectly happy with Stoops.

  14. Actually, it's pretty much OU losing 4 OLs, a top-notch TE, and the Heisman winning QB is hurt. Ohh and the top WR on the team only played one drive tonight.
  15. You know the LSU/Georgia refs don't wave that one off.
  16. Has anyone mentioned that Brazil is hosting the World Cup an 2014 and that might have factored into the decision?
  17. Another red for the US, this time in the penalty box.
  18. Someone on the US team just picked up a red. It's gonna be tough now.
  19. Heh, the line tonight was WV -17, so that last TD wasn't as meaningless as people think...
  20. Does anyone have a problem with this order? I can't decide if USC jumping over OU is right or not. USC has the less explainable loss, but a good win. I also can't accurately decide how much the BYU loss means to voters.
  21. Have the Bears been playing prevent D?
  22. I kinda see it as Lovie playing with house money. They have to get a TD, why not make it a TD and XP?
  23. add Bo Pelini at Nebraska to that list. I forgot he was an assistant DC to stoops. Chuck long at San Diego State as well. Rex Ryan was too if you want to get technical. He was a DLine coach for a year, i won't really count him though Chuck Long isn't at SDSU anymore.
  24. That list looks good (assuming it's Brian and not Chip Kelly). I'd rank Leach in the top tier if you can get him. Gary Patterson's had sustained success at TCU, so he should be somewhere in that group as well. If Turner Gill wins the MAC again with the talent he has returning he probably deserves another look. Oh, it probably won't be a power team, but somebody needs to hire Gus Malzahn. I'd hate for his offense to be stuck under Chizik for much longer. I would say if Tulsa has another good season, add Todd Graham to the list.
