Because some OU fans think the team should basically never lose, ever. I never understood why people criticize OSU and Oklahoma or any school like that for not winning the big game. A: it's not easy to get to that point. You have to be a really, really good team to get to that point and B: It's incredibly hard to beat the number one team in the country multiple seasons. It's called perspective. Oklahoma fans, especially those who became fans this decade, have lost perspective. When OU loses, the fans always want the DC's or OC's (or both) heads. Most of them didn't see the brand of football that was played before Stoops came to OU. They didn't see 4 different QBs on a single drive. They didn't see the offensive philosophy change between drives. They didn't see OU get flagged for 14 men on the field once. Basically, they didn't see the sad hilarity that is .250 football. Stoops' NC in 2000 spoiled them. Currently, a lot of people are calling for Kevin Wilson's head. (Yes, he was a former assistant at Northwestern.) Just last season his offense averaged 50+ pts/game. There's only 1 player currently healthy and playing for OU that was on that offense last season. Now, in the Miami game, he was calling a lot of delay draw plays on a lot of 3rd and long situations. I didn't understand it. But firing the guy who just came off that kind of season is ludicrous. (Cue imb: fIRE VenaBLEZ!!1!!!)
