Do you honestly think that Hendry/Baker/Management didn't know the fans were upset with this team, until they decided to throw garbage on the field? Honestly, use a little logic. It's not like they don't know the fans are upset. It's not like they aren't just as upset themselves. It's not like they don't care about winning. Throwing garbage on the field or selling tickets to Sox fans isn't going to make management any smarter. not making them smarter yes, making them look like crap on a national tv broadcast, much better No, they are making Cub fans look like crap. That means they are making ME look like crap. I think filling up the park day after day to watch this wretched product makes Cub fans look more like crap than littering the field with refuse. Is it classless? Sure. Lots of things are classless. Booing is classless. Lot's of stuff written on these game threads (mea culpa) are classless. I'm not defending it, but forgive me if I can't muster up much outrage over fans showing their frustration while this franchise continues to languish with an idiot manager, an inept front office, and ownership that could care less.

I can't get too riled up about fans throwing trash on the field. It seems oddly appropriate. This team is garbage.

I've never been as big on Dempster as most here, but it does deserve mentioning that he hadn't pitched in exactly one week according to Fred's stats. Actually, he pitched Sunday against the Twins.
