  1. We need someone to light a fire under us. We lack an emotional leader. I'll volunteer. Go get 'em boys! Give it your all! Nothing less than a 110%! (I'm feeling 25 pages tonight.) In Regular or Premium? 11 pages and counting. Good, but not good enough. More hustle guys, more hustle.
  2. Too many pitches taken that inning, Clines is going to have get the guys together for a special hitting session tomorrow.
  3. Get a good look at David Bell, he's your third baseman next year if Aramis doesn't come back.
  4. Bill Hall is aggressive at the plate, so he might be attractive to the Cubs.

  6. I'm convinced that Brenly is still stoned from yesterday.
  7. I blame Cedeno. If it wasn't for his home run, this wouldn't be happening.
  8. I'm kind of shocked that Dusty did the sensible thing and started Pagan in RF against a LHP.
  9. Really? Pat and Ron said that Dusty came out to argue-at least that's what I thought I heard. They also said it was clear that he came off the bag too early, so that the ump made the right call. I have not seen the play, but when was the last time an ump ruled that the fielder missed the bag on the double play pivot? I've seen it so often where the fielder misses the bag (where it's not really even close), yet he is given credit for the putout. I hate when the umps decide to selectively enforce the rules.
  10. Juan Pierre is never going to get a day off.
  11. I can't wait! Unfortunately, the Royals appear to have the Fecal League all wrapped up, but I'm not ready to count the Cubs out yet. In Dusty we trusty!
  12. I see Cesar Izturis has settled in nicely on this team.
  13. Yep. June 28th against the Cards, bottom of the 7th inning. Jacque Jones (pitch sequence): Strike (foul), Strike (looking), Ball, Ball, J Jones singled to left, A Ramirez to second, M Murton hit for S Eyre If I remember correctly, the game was stopped and Jacque was given the keys to a Chevy Avalanche.
  14. Too bad Rusch was put on the DL, this would have been the perfect game to throw him to the wolves.
  15. Did Larry Rothschild come out at any point in that inning to talk to Marmol? Just curious.
  16. "Who's Been at Third Since Santo" Ughhh. Even though it is pretty funny....but come on, do we really need to be celebrating Cub futility during rain delays? Seeing Tribune-owned WGN continue to feed into the "lovable losers" image doesn't sit well with me.
  17. Dusty actually talking some sense: "you don't hit home runs by swinging at everything."
  18. Bruce Miles coming on 'GN. This should be interesting.
  19. Nice to see Rich Hill not getting shelled. Hopefully this is the start of a trend.
