Who would be available? If the Tigers continue to suck, I could see Renteria being available, but that isn't likely. Renteria would be a downgrade.

One more thing on Theriot... for as much as people gripe about his lack of power, there are only 5 SS's in baseball that have a higher OPS than him.

yeah, his OBP isn't near .400 or anything. His OBP is reasonable, but his baserunning mistakes and his defense really hurt him. The Cubs could upgrade, imo. Nice curve! Reasonable? LOL. If by reasonable, you mean better than every other SS in baseball, then I agree.

It's not possible to acquire one that gets on base more frequently than Theriot. I know, I know... he makes stupid mistakes on the basepaths too often. Just saying.

Theriot takes more pitches and gets on base more often than Ward does... should he start hitting 4th? That said, nice at bat by Ward there. Ward hits for more power than Theriot and hits lefthanded (Vazquez is a righty). Care to go another round? Another round? Haha. I just refuted your initial argument... I'm not advocating Theriot hitting cleanup. Obviously I'd rather have Ward than Theriot there. But it still doesn't make any sense whatsoever to bat Ward cleanup.

Wait... they put an L flag up after they won? That's hilarious. The Sox beat the Cubs, but rather than putting up a flag (or doing anything) signifying their victory, they do something pointing out that the other team lost? That really makes me laugh. What a terrible organization.
