Wow, more non-baseball discussion in the transactions forum. That really doesn't surprise me anymore. That's sad. I don't get the "Nomar wont be back cause Hendry treated him like crap" argument. Hendry simply told Nomar to seek employment elsewhere and that the Cubs were looking in another direction. Isn't that a lot better than NOT telling him anything and leaving Nomar in the dark? Nomar is a professional baseball player and surely realizes the injury risk that he is - he can't be surprised that a team would prefer a younger, faster, more reliable option than him. If that option doesn't pan out though, Nomar can't be bitter and refuse to deal with Hendry. If he is, well, I hope he has fun playing in Pittsburgh.
