Crisp is a damn good player. The Sox essentially traded Renteria and his salary for Crisp and his salary. I'd call that a pretty good deal. Concerning Pierre... his "bad routes" to the ball wont be near as much of an issue as people make it out to be. Especially considering that he'll be playing in Wrigley rather than a football stadium this year. -
I don't hate Neifi at all, I just despise Dusty's use of him. Neifi is a good player to have on our team... if used properly.

http://www.mlb4u.com/index.php Click on Free Agency/Arbitration on the left to bring up the years. I don't know how accurate this site is (note that they have Wade Miller listed as a FA after '06), but it seems to be a pretty good resource. -
So what's the deal here? This guys writes an article on why the Cubs suck two days in a row? Gee, I wonder if he dislikes the Cubs.

Well, just think about Mike Martz not being your head coach any more... that should cheer you up. It does, but the fact that the Rams have been interviewing offensive coordinators doesn't really do much to inspire confidence.

So what was really said? That Wood WILL pitch out of the pen, like Hoops reported, or that he's ABLE able to pitch out of the pen, like deuce and #22 reported? It'd be great if we could stick to the facts when it comes to reporting things that Cubs management says. -

Not that I know of. They usually put soundclips on the website within a few days. Can you use a different player? I don't think so. It's working, but it freezed up about every 90 seconds and I have to start it again. Did anyone catch Dusty's response after Kap asked him who his everyday 2B would be if the season started tomorrow?

Jones' numbers include his prime years, which he is past. Patterson's numbers don't include his prime years, which he is nearing. I wouldn't be surprised if your bet works out. Corey's AVG, OBP, and SLG have gone down every year since '03. I don't know why you think he'll suddenly enter his prime years and be a good hitter. Maybe a change of scenery will benefit him, but nothing else suggests that he'll be worthy of a roster spot in the near future.
