Well, if I can only pick three... Player F gets the first nod. Very good K:BB ratio and a high ERA+ along with what looks like the best WHIP on the list. Player A would probably be get my next vote for the same reasons listed above. My final vote is between B, C, and D. Looks like player D has the best WHIP, ERA+ and K:BB ratio among the three, so I'll go with him. So I'd say F, A, and D.

I agree. I've never been a fan of the "he was rushed" explanation for his struggles. Corey's failure is related to his inability and/or unwillingness to learn/adapt, and the Cubs' inabiliy to find a way to get through to him, regardless of the level. I still haven't seen a good reason why you try to dump him when his value is at its lowest. I think one reason would be the monetary one. Why add a 3 million dollar player on the bench when you already have the 2.5 million dollar Neifi there? I know, I know... Neifi shouldn't be there. He is though.

No idea at this point, but it likely won't be a top prospect. And nothing is ever done with the Orioles until it's done. I guess I can understand that it won't be a top prospect, since Corey doesn't appear to have much of a trade value. While we're still talking the word "trade", has there anything coming up on Todd Walker? From what I've been told, the Cubs have seen more "action" on Patterson of late than they've seen on Walker. Why do you think that is? A lack of interest in Walker himself, or a lack of interest in second basemen? It boggles my mind why Walker apparently has zero value at this point.

Cmon Hendry, you have to give up talent to get talent. If Baltimore wants Pie (along with a package of lesser players... not Prior) then let them have him!

If the O's really want Patterson (which I don't see why any team would), then why not hold out and include him in a Tejada deal? Trading him for a crappy minor leaguer when you have your sights set on a bigger deal with Baltimore doesn't make any sense.

I don't know... Mizzou's Mike Hall doesn't seem to be an idiot about his alum. Then again, he hasn't really established himself in his field quite yet, but still.

I think the surprise is the timing. Why now? Why not earlier in the offseason when Hendry had alot more payroll unaccounted for? Why wait until most of Hendy's available dollars have been spent? I'm not convinced he would have done it otherwise. I think a NTC might be at play here...
