  1. This seems like a perfect opportunity for Murton to come up and show that he belongs here.
  2. My eyes literally just went  This is awesome! Any other details other than the fact that he's gone?
  3. Good to know that we're not the only team that walks him.
  4. Not necessarily. If Kendall struggles the rest of the season and somebody else steps up then Kendall may not be re-signed even with Hendry in charge. Hill has suddenly caught fire since the trade was announced. I don't expect that to continue, but IF it does that may influence the decision. He's had a couple good games. That's not likely to last. My point is I don't see anybody in the system who could possibly emerge to change their mind. What more could Soto have done to date to earn a shot? So you don't see anyone in the system who could emerge, and you don't want Kendall being resigned. Tell us, what exactly DO you want Hendry to do regarding the catching situation?
  5. Wuertz hasn't been that good lately. Get it together!
  6. Did that piece of trash seriously just walk a run in?
  7. He's at 73 pitches now, so hopefully he can only go a max of 7 innings.
  8. ...and the sucky eye of the home ump. If he calls that a strike (which it was, at least according to Gameday), the inning would've been over. I don't think the pitch was a strike. It was a curve that likely missed low and in. Fair enough. I'm not watching the game, but the location on Gameday had it right over the plate - not on the corner - so I assumed that it was accurate.
  9. Yeah seriously. If Marshall doesn't walk the leadoff man, then Kendall wouldn't have been given the chance to screw up.
  10. ...and the sucky eye of the home ump. If he calls that a strike (which it was, at least according to Gameday), the inning would've been over.
  11. Gameday had the pitch right before that (ball 2) as clearly being over the plate... was it?
  12. Hopefully this inning will end here with no more damage done.
  13. Any idea what his PC and balls/strikes count were? Not sure, but I did read that while the double was hit hard, the RBI single was a blooper that found a hole.
  14. Wow, 21 of Marshall's 24 pitches have been strikes.
  15. I bet Kendall gets a nice reception before his first at bat.
  16. Pat said sac, E3, no RBI for Fontenot. That's what I thought it would be, but Gameday had him credited with an RBI so I wasn't sure.
  17. There's a poll up on chicagosports.com that asks if the Kendall trade was a good one for the Cubs. 90.9% of the 14,000+ people that voted said yes. I agree.
