  1. Osgood should have covered that corner on the goal with 35 secs left. Fun game to watch.
  2. Well....here's hoping he Gary Giatti's the rest of the season because he seems to now be hanging around a bit longer than anticipated.
  3. I'm sure it is nice to have a good offense as a pitcher and hopefully he keeps his confidence and continues to challenge hitters. Hopefully when Hill comes back from his injury he'll be fine and doing the same.
  4. I don't know that much about lifting so I just threw that number out there. Any suggestions?
  5. I hate to see anyones career go like this, possibly end like this. I enjoyed watching him pitch and it was exciting to see him fly through the Cubs minor league system to the big team. Mike Harkey is the only other guy like that I can remember being so good to have it fall to injury like this.
  6. Hey, the dudes racking it but you gotta take it slow. Once Corey gets out the kinks he's our CF. You learn a lot from watching.
  7. Yeah, the days of having Macias be your DH are hopefully a thing of the past.
  8. Since he said "He's been hitting ever since" I'm guessing he pointed it out to him Thursday. I suppose you're right Biitt but that's just strange for a guy to do that after he leaves your team and not while he's on it. Maybe Greg really is a Cub at heart.
  9. Did Maddux point this out AFTER Edmonds left the Padres? I would find that kind of odd that he would wait until he was off his team to do this.
  10. Yeah I agree. Some guys just get into a nice groove and as long as they don't change anything mechanically, they're fine. I would agree to an extent, however, in this specific instance Zambrano was hardly in a groove. He was fighting himself all night. I didn't see the game so I don't know. Was he missing by a lot or just off by a little? Plus, I think it depends on what pitches he threw/throws. He's mostly fastball slider...correct?
  11. You realize Livan hasn't been fine in years? What are you talking about? He's pitched over 200 innings just about every year of his career. Just because he sucks now doesn't mean that his excessive innings are why. When would you consider Livan to have been "fine"? Livan's velocity fell off a cliff at a very young age. It's usually attributed to overwork. Did he also pitch on short rest during the playoffs as well?
  12. I wonder if he's going to extremes to prove he isn't laid back?
  13. Yeah I agree. Some guys just get into a nice groove and as long as they don't change anything mechanically, they're fine.
  14. Do you mean Walrond? Him too! Yeah, that's the guy.
  15. After Estes shut the Cubs down this seems like a very solid move. I think the Astros will sign Waldren if this works.
  16. 9 I think That many, wow. Thanks.
  17. Yeah, I think Z being lifted a little early in his next start or 2 might be a good thing as well so it would be nice if the Offense scores a bunch of runs in those starts to help make it possible.
  18. If the Bulls do "blow the team up" do they have any players they could trade to acquire 1st round picks for 2009 and 2010 or impact 1 or 2 year guys?
  19. How many rings does Laker coach Jackson have right now?
  20. Tim Wilken's longtime affinity for multi-sport players. I didn't realize that raisin, thanks for writing that. Too many kids are just doing one sport when they are good at 2 or 3 due to this foolish playing year round thing.
  21. Are you David Stern?
  22. Maybe cubette was right, the guys a hot head.
  23. Donte Greene has signed with an agent. Buh bye.
