    Madrigal led off the first with a 13 pitch FO to RF. He swung at 9 of the first 12 pitches, which according to pitchtraxx, all would've been called strikes. The only pitch out of the strike zone was pitch 13 which was borderline, too close to take, and he flew out. Great AB for an out.

    Gallardo with a rough line today: 4.1 innings, 10 hits, 5 ER, 1 HR, 0/3 BB/K. He was throwing strikes (60/86) but not really missing bats.

    Ryan Jensen through 15 pitches in the 1st inning, 5 strikes and 10 balls. He gave up a HR, walked a batter on 4 pitches, hit a batter after a 1-2 count, and then got a GIDP. Lot going on for throwing only 5 strikes but only allowing 1 run.

    Cubs put up 3 in the 9th to make it (currently) a "no save" situation, 4-0.

    Devers goes 5 in relief with 3 hits allowed, 1 BB and 6 Ks. In 21+ innings so far in A+, he has 3/15 BB/K and only 1 run allowed. Not a bad start.
