    Despite 9 straight losses, I saw Nellie’s laser to gun down a runner at home, Morel’s energy to start a rally, and a clutch Nico with a 3-hit game including the game winner in the bottom of the 8th. Oh, and a win is always satisfying to me.

    They get a run on a bases loaded BB. But once again with a runner on third and less than 2 outs, the cubs can't capitalize. And can't put the ball in play either with Bote and Velazquez striking out. All tied at 1.

    Schwindel tried his damnedest to GIDP for the third consecutive plate appearance. Saved by an E5.

    Done after 3 innings. Gave up two HRs and 2 BB with 3 K. Max Bain pitching now.

    Why? It's baseball. I love baseball, and despite their struggles, still enjoy seeing wins/positive play from some of the youngsters.

    Why, when the Cubs have a man on third and less than 2 outs, does the 3B coach give the "K" sign to the batter??

    I acctually don't even think it's close. They've had some really rotten teams in my lifetime. They have zero depth, so the injuries have really taken their toll.

    Check out the projections in the article,. PCA projects as a low-end regular NEXT YEAR. That's insanity for a guy with ~300 plate appearances in A Ball. I thought PCA was a plus defender. "Credible" sounds like his defense is being a bit minimized.
