  1. One week in the books, and the Tigers, Marlins, and Mets remain the only “perfect” records. Sort of.
  2. Just seemed like a weirdly timed take for a guy who despite a presumably a bad call, got on base, went first to third on a single, had enough speed/jump to force a hurried throw, and then scored the winning run. He’s a versatile bench player and nothing more.
  3. What exactly did Mastro do that has you bent?
  4. I hope Busch works out, but I’m always a bit leery about trading with the Dodgers, especially for their minor leaguers. They develop talent really well and seem to know when to cut bait.
  5. Surprise the Rockies have challenged him early in the game with bunts, especially given the weather conditions. Chuck had the lead off bunt yesterday, but I think that’s been it.
  6. I had to read that 4 times to figure out what you meant.
  7. Morel didn’t need to rush it and throw off one foot. Could’ve played the error like the last out.
  8. CB Bucknor has basically said, "Guys, it's cold AF. If it's close to the black, it's a strike."
  9. TOOTBLAN #2 of the season. At least in the 3+ games I've actually been able to watch.
  10. Yep, they started out 9-7. Then they won 11 of their next 12 to go 20-8. Then they lost 11 of their next 12. That's so "pirate".
  11. Little threw 12 pitches last night. Is that really such a stressor that he'd only be able to go one inning tonight??
  12. I see what you're saying, but given he only threw 12 pitches, it's really no different than making a relief appearance two days in a row. Every reliever on the team should be able to do that. It's not a day game after a night game, and Thursday is a day off.
  13. Obviously going 2-1 against the Rockies after winning the first two would suck. But sweeps are hard, even against sh!tty teams. And the Cubs were most likely not gonna win the Texas series. So 3-3 after the first six games was probably the most realistic outcome. Hopefully they get the sweep tomorrow, but 3-3 would be an okay start.
  14. I believe they can cancel games because of just the (low) temp, no?
  15. Astros' Ronel Blanco throws season's first no-hitter in 10-0 win over Blue Jays. 2 BB, 7 K, 105 pitches.
  16. Ian Happ Gold Glove Fielding = Jim Furyk's Major Championship Swing
