    Sure the Cubs' bats have been pretty silent of late. But earlier today they brought some lumber to the park - 3 dongs and 6 runs. Woot Woot!!!! Maybe that carries over to this game. They face a pretty good pitcher. But "the Vaunteds" have to face this guy: This guy is JAP - just another pitchers so say the critics. But he's been hurling ever since the Cubs have given him the ball to start. "Send to the 'pen" once Steele, Wicks, and Hendricks get back? Rubbish!! The man with the "Tijuana Two-Seamer" has proven he belongs in the rotation and should be taking the ball every fifth day! Let's go out and win the series and grab 1st place while we're at it! #WhyNotUs!!

    If I'm making the decisions for "the Vaunteds", every time I get a man on first with second base open, I steal. I do this until the Cubs throw a runner out.

    Cubs' offense of late has been a lot like this. The bullpen has been a lot like this. And we fans have been like this far too often late in the game with a lead. Jameson is on the mound, and hopefully the pixie dust doesn't wear off.

    I think there's been a bit more excitement going into this season as opposed to last season. Also, last season's game thread starter seemed to crap out early if I recall.
