  1. Bummer. I was 3-1 last year though. :D
  2. Yeah, I for one, thought that the Cubs would be playing aganist the Royals at the K in the 2006 season. I guess that isn't happening.
  3. Interesting. The 1907 Cubs, as a team, had a .311 SLG, .318 OBP with a .628 OPS.
  4. Nope. Just like King Carl Peterson's 5 year plan. It just carries over to Year 17 in Kansas City.
  5. I wonder, what if Houston won the WS last year? Would Bagwell then retire, knowing that he got a ring? Just something to discuss about.
  6. Yeah, I saw that as well. Wouldn't hurt to put a $5 on the Royals. I mean, anything can happen. *shrug* $5 turns into $1,500. And if you lose, well, it's still only $5.
  7. Also, I have one question. When will the results of the Veterans Committee be known? Usually in March?
  8. Sutter should check the back of his baseball card. Heh. I think he's checking his fingers more than his baseball card. (1982 WS)
  9. Not sure if anyone seen this, but Gossage let his feelings known. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5237536
  10. i think that they're similar players. rice was better offensively, dawson better defensively. i think rice is more deserving. I respectfully disagree. I think Andre Dawson is more deserving. Dawson was a Gold Glove outfielder and his offensive numbers are, in some cases, better than Rice. Dawson batted .279 with 438 homers and 1,591 RBI and he added an element of speed with 314 stolen bases. Edit: Dang, some people beat me to it. :D
  11. The same Marrero that had a .894 OPS in 2004'. The Marrero that has a .973 OPS vs. Lh'ers over the last 3 years, that includes his '05 season with the Royals. He'd be the best RH'ed option off the bench. For a bench player, yes. If Colorado is thinking of making him a starter, all I can say is good luck with that. Marrero couldn't even hit right handed pitchers worth a darn. I think that was the point of talking about how he's making $750k. Perhaps. We shall see.

  13. Eli Marrero?? That Eli Marrero who played for the Royals? He was brutal when he played for the Royals. .159 avg .222 obp .341 slug .563 ops I can see that he'll relive his career under that Colorado air, just like Burnitz and several others did.
  14. Patriots, Colts, Bears, and Washington are my picks.
  15. And that INT by Farrior might just do it.
  16. And some real problems playing defense as well might I add.
  17. Kitna is reliving memories of Akili Smith there on that 3rd and long, where he just scrambling around, fumbling it around.
  18. About 3 kittycat defenders just got a free ride on the Bus as well.
  19. That is a touchdown by Bettis.
  20. I think this one will be an incomplete.
  21. It's part of his culture. I can understand that, but does he want the risk of somebody pulling his hair all over the place during a football game? I'm just sayin.
  22. Overated? Troy's the best in the game at his position. I disagree. He's only good at run support and drawing flags. His pass coverage sucks.
  23. Polamalu really needs to get a haircut.
  24. One thing just to be safe is don't give anyone any bulliten board material that will give them an advantage, unlike what Osi Umenyiora did.
  25. I don't think Moose would be too "nervous" aganist his former team. I think he'll be pumped up, so I wouldn't worry about that part. What I would be worried is that Carolina actually shut out Plaxico Burris. I think the Panthers might double team Moose, so someone else will have to step up. Other than that, I agree with your list. I only listed that as a "key" because that was supposedly his excuse for playing poorly vs Carolina in Week 11. True, but it's the playoffs this time.
