  1. So what are the odds of seeing Barry Bonds today? (If this isn't one of SF's Split Squad teams that is.)
  2. All of that, plus 26 boxes of girl scout cookies, makes it the perfect afternoon, no? Got any w/ chocolate w/ peanut butter in the middle?
  3. Korea came back and won it. Should had stayed up a bit longer. :P
  4. Heh, I think you meant to say in the #1 slot? No, I think he means he wants to see Pie in the #3 slot. Ah, yeah. I mis-read it wrong. I thought he was seeing Pie was in the 3rd spot in the line-up. My bad.
  5. Heh, I think you meant to say in the #1 slot?
  6. Call in sick. Heh heh. And that's not a bad line-up, especially whenever Lee needs a off-day for some rest.
  7. Yep. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060303&content_id=1332636&vkey=spt2006news&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  8. *sighs* Same old, same old. It just wouldn't go away.
  9. Ah, 24 years old. Even better.
  10. Him and Dempster will have some good moments I'm sure.
  11. I like this Williams kid. He'd make a good solid 4th or 5th man in my opinion, and that he is young (26 I believe?) I wonder, is this the first ST that he showed up in at least good condition/shape, unlike years past due to personal reasons? Oh, and that one game where he pitched (St. Louis? Can't remember what team it was.), where he had his asthma problems, but somehow managed to pitch six innings, or something like that. That was impressive.
  12. Sweet. Cubs win. Kinda a shame about that Corey pitcher getting lit up all over the joint.
  13. Some more information on this issue. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/13986241.htm It could be possible that he may be battling some sort of depression issue, but it's hard to know for sure.
  14. Hmm... looks like some not good news here for the Bears. http://www.suntimes.com/output/bears/cst-spt-bear01.html
  15. Well, I'm not totally sure what it is all about, but if he is unhappy that becuase he had to compete for a rotation spot, then he's just a prima-donna sissy. What makes him think he earned a spot, especially that he was getting lit up all over the place last year? Based on his performance last year, makes me wonder why he's having a cow about this? Maybe he's miffed that he has to compete for a spot in the Royals rotation. Talk about insulting... BBB nailed it on the head. Greinke haven't proven me anything that warranted him to be a starter on the rotation, even if it's one of the bad teams in the MLB today. As I said in my previous post, Greinke got lit up all over the place. And BBB pretty much summed up how I feel. A 5.80 ERA pitcher shouldn't think that he won a starting job automatically.
  16. Wow, that's a shocker. I wonder why, of all the sudden, he's almost deciding to call it a career.
  17. Good article indeed. :)

  19. Indeed. It was a good game. OU let up too early though, and it showed. They seemed relaxed, and all of a sudden, whamo! KU is back in business.
  20. Well, not a bad deal I suppose.
  21. Not yet, but there are some ESPN/FOX games listed so far. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=chc&m=4&y=2006 I should also note, that the schedule time and whoever decides to broadcast it, can change.
  22. Hmm... I'm suprised he didn't mention the deftinion of base-clogging. Oh wait....
  23. This should be a good match-up. Pittsburgh defense had played well. They had to play Cincy, who was a good offense, but then that didn't tell me much, since Palmer went down with the injury. Still, they held the Bengals to 17 points. Then Pittsburgh went to Indy, to face the Colts, who had alot of weapons on all positions, and they still managed to keep the Colts 18 points. Then they go to Denver, and played very sold aganist the Broncos. Held them to 17 points. Of course, on the other hand, none of those teams have a running back/ offensive line combo like Seattle does. Only the Chiefs could match it.
  24. Jeez, Carolina is getting whipped in all aspects of the game.
  25. Ed Hochuli and his crew made it to the post season? That fact, in and of itself, speaks volumes about the poor quality of officiating in the NFL nowadays.
