where is a link to the science behind it? i'd be interested. That's what I was wondering. Like those NFL new helmets, they had something involved in it that was supposed to help the players have less concussions and all. I also brought up that point on the Hairston (I think) thread where I wonder if that new helmet made a difference, in comparsion of the old-helmets where they tend to crack or something whenever there is a 90+ mph fastball screaming at the head.

No clue. I'm hoping he rebounds into his 2003 form though, for the Royals. 2003 .338 OBP .451 SLG .287 AVG 2004 .308 OBP .385 SLG .262 AVG 2005 .305 OBP .375 SLG .270 AVG He was also a decent base stealer in 2003, but bad in 04/05. Yeah. I wonder if it was just lighting in the bottle deal though, the 03, since the Royals, as a team, literally contended the AL Central before falling apart in September. Since then, the Royals haven't sniffed even 3rd place, if I am not mistaken. -

Southern Illinois is automatically in, since they won the Missouri Valley Conference. Just helpin ya out here.

Well, at least L'ville sacked up and managed to at least get back in the game, but I think they may had dug too deep of a hole to win the game.

Nice win. It's also nice to see Boeheim being his old fiesty self...I missed him acting like that. Man, that was awesome. And he is right. w/o McNamara, Syracuse wouldn't have won those 10 games.

No idea, but I sure hope that we won't be seeing them in any future Cubs game. They make C.B. Buckner look like a good umpire.

That's nothing new. Just like the Cubs were down 4-2, with runners on 2nd and first, and Aramis hits a good long ball, only to be at least a foot short of a HR.
