  1. So Serena, have you decided the starting rotation for the Game Threads yet, since the Cubs play their first game on Monday?
  2. But they have Sisco! Yes, and I think the most impressive Sisco story I know is when he pitched a 12 inning game while singing Handel's Messiah, and didn't miss a single note or strikes.
  3. Now now, no attacking the person. Attack the post.
  4. Much appreciated CardsFanInChiTown. Just as I suspected. Somewhere between 90-100 losses for the Royals.
  5. That would be my list, except George Brett would be on the #3. And ironically, Vance Law was one of the reasons why I got attached to the Cubs, along with Harry, Sandberg, Dawson, and Grace. Heck, I used to collect a bunch of Vance Law's baseball cards when I was a kid.
  6. Not to hi-jack it a bit, but I would be interested what would the PECOTA for the AL Central.
  7. MVP?!? That's for Neifi. He was robbed last year. Haha. I laughed at that one.
  8. *Blows the dust off the thread* I figured this would be a good time to bump this back up for some members that who are either new/joined the NSBB site, along with some of us members who have been here for awhile, even though spring training is almost over, it's still spring training. I do have a question. Of the list I am going to provide, what would be the best one to use to judge a player's performance? OBP, AVG, SLG, or OPS? I'm sure there are some others that factors into this, but let's just start with those 4. Which one of the 4 is the most important thing, based on production?
  9. Not a bad lineup. As long Neifi is batting the 7th or 8th, basically on the bottom of the order, I won't complain too much. Granted, I would had liked Cedeno instead of Neifi, but apparently, Cedeno is struggling as of this moment. Hopefully Cedeno can get out of that funk.
  10. Wow. That's pretty awesome! Congrats!
  11. I hope that they'll sell it to someone who actually wants to put a decent product on the field, and that someone who wants to win a championship.
  12. Ah, Chris Capuano, one of those sucky left handed pitchers who always (for the most part) looks like a NL Cy Young whenever he pitches the Cubs.
  13. Let Washington keep Soriano on the disqualified list as long as they have to until Soriano quit being a crybaby and start being a man and play some outfield. I don't want him on the Cubs roster, nor I don't want him to be associated with anything about the Cubs, period.
  14. Indeed. GM beated WSU earlier during the season at Wichita. So WSU is thinking payback right now. And how sweet would it be for the Shockers to do it during the NCAA Tournament?
  15. Suh-weet! Bradley is in the Sweet 16! Even better, beating Pittsburgh, another one of Billy Pecker and Jim Nantzy's east coast teams. MVC = Death Valley. Reliving the 70's slogan baby!
  16. It's just wrong. I'd agree with that. There's no reason why one team should have more than 20+ attempts on FT's....
  17. Holy crap, I couldn't believe the FT difference.
  18. Ruh-ro. Illinois is in a little trouble now.
  19. Iced it with some clutch FT shooting.
  20. Not quite over yet. It's not over until it's over. WSU needs to make it's FT's.
  21. Heh. I hope WSU wins, since I am from KS. It's anybody's game now though.
  22. As was any conference that had 4 or more bids. Makes sense, doesn't it? For at least this year, the MVC is definitely a "big" conference. I guess. I always think of a "Big Conference" as in ACC, Big XII, Big 10, etc.
