  1. Man, Colon is lucky the 3rd baseman fielded that. If that went by the 3rd baseman, that would had advanced the runners to 3rd and 2nd.
  2. As my previous comment was, I'm glad he's not a Cub anymore. It's painful enough seeing him on the field anyways. I wanna see him try to throw a runner out at home later. *cringes* If the ball ever reaches home that is.....

  4. Wow. That last pitch before he struck him out sure looked like strike 3 to me.
  5. Makes me glad that Alou isn't with the Cubs anymore.
  6. Word.
  7. Well that's a good positions open there. Just too bad Tennessee is a bit far away from where I am, considering that I have worked on either video/filming or groundcrew. Otherwise, it would be good to go to the games and all.
  8. My curiousity got the best out of me, so I looked up Kirby's career stats, and I was impressed by the numbers. What caught my eye was that during Kirby's 11 years as a MLB player, he never struck out 100 or more times in a single season. That's pretty impressive, in my opinion.
  9. That's pretty cool. I take it the game is in St. Louis? Also where will ya'll be seated at after you finish?
  10. Are you seriously calling him a hero? Perspective? As a Royal fan (I am true Cub fan, but I also like the Royals, since they are close to my hometown), you still gotta respect class. And he is considered a hero in many Twins fans, no matter what.
  11. I think he'll be back on the field sometime this week. I wonder if those new helmets made a difference when it came to that impact. I know it was that new helmet, but I don't know if it did make any difference. Thoughts?
  12. Hmm... the name Kinsella seems odd. Is it that character from Field of Dreams getting cranky now?
  13. Hmm... well I guess they probably don't update those until game time is near or something. *shrug* I dunno. Hopefully it'll be on.
  14. So, say for instance the Minor leagues start, and the umpires are still in strike, what will happen then? Will there be replacement umpires?
  15. Ah, listening to you and Bob was deftinaly a good sign that Cubs baseball is back. It's been a long winter. Oh, and you guys were funny when you were poking the guys that were shirtless. That was funny.
  16. Indeed, and if I may suggest, you could edit your broadcast thread to inform NSBB members that MLB.TV will be carrying all the Cubs games during all of Spring Training, in case if anyone wasn't aware of that.. Just a suggestion. *shrug* I will once we confirm that's the case. For whatever reason, the MLB.TV Schedule isn't showing that every MLB spring training game will be available. They do say "And, get Spring Training games – over 80 games before Opening Day" in the ad to sign up ... but that could mean some, not all, ST games. If it's on tomorrow, I'll add it. Fair enough. Just by looking at cubs.com schedule, every game they play, it has the MLB.TV on the schedule. But what you mentioned makes sense.

  18. cubs.com has MLB.TV under the schedule on March 6th. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=chc
  19. Thank you, and thank you to whoever edited my topic title. :D I tried looking up on Yahoo Sports and ESPN along with Cubs.com but nothing there, so that's why I wasn't able to find anything. I also have that link bookmarked for future reference as well. :D
  20. Not sure who are the starting pitchers for this game. But the Cubs play aganist the Oakland A's. This game starts at 2:05 PM CT and the Oakland broadcast is available on MLB Radio (Gameday Audio). (edited by Serena to add broadcast info) Go Cubs!
