  1. My thoughts exactly. Sounds crazy, but I think I'd pulled a Bobby Cox a la playoffs in 1985 and maybe intentionally walked Pujols to keep that from happening. I'm shocked they pitched to him. I wouldn't let their best player beat me if I had a chance to clinch. I would have taken my chance with the next batter. You just knew what was going to happen when Edmonds walked. Oh yeah, I knew it. I knew it was coming. Either a gapper to bring in 2 runs to tie the game, or a homerun.

  3. Wow, that one was crushed by Pujoles.
  4. Since it doesn't look like anyone wants to answer: Strike 3, low pitch, but it didn't hit the ground. The ump calls him out. molina rolls the ball to the mound. Perz. takes off to first. With the pitcher already halfway to the dugout, there's no one who can stop him. He's magically safe at 1st It was John Paul, the 3rd stringer catcher btw. Not Molina.
  5. Come on Angels! Get a 2-0 lead heading back to Cali!
  6. Wow, that's crazy. Kudos to Nomar for doing the right thing. I wonder how the women got in the water in the first place. :-k
  7. Seeeeeerike 3! Angels win!
  8. 2 down. Sox down to their last out. Git them Angels!
  9. Dang. Winning run on the plate. Good decision by Figgins to not to throw that. Could had sailed it over.
  10. Here we go. Down to the last inning now.
  11. That was horrible. OT, but who's gonna replace McAllister on the Saints? does it matter? that team sucks. Agreed, especially with Benson and Haslett running it.
  12. Angels does a Cub-like 2 outs RISP perfectly. Damn.
  13. Wow. Molina almost threw that one away, except that 2nd baseman saved it. Of course, Cano is out. Inning over.
  14. The 84 series, I was a young pup, but I remember my grandfather going on a profanity laced warpath that day. Something along the lines of losing a big money bet. Then the 2003 series, well, I went on a profanity laced tirade, that's for sure. I was bartending at a sportsbar during the melt down in 2003. Customers were afraid to ask me for anything for the rest of the night. I actually got in trouble for my bad service that night, not to mention my less than friendly attitude. Ouch, that must had sucked. I learned the hard way to not be working while there is a Cubs postseason game going on as well.
  15. Wow, what a catch by Matsui.
  16. Erstad actually makes it, even brought a runner home! 5-2 Angels!
  17. Sheffield got lucky on that one. If that was a bit lower or higher, that could have been easily a triple, or possibly a in-the-park homerun.
  18. lol. Both Sheffield and Crosby just collided, which the Angels scored 2 runs due to that. 3-2 Angels lead in the 2nd.
  19. I remember that thread we had was the Wang thread somewhere in the social forum, before it was locked.
  20. Huh, strange. It worked just fine for me. Me, too. :-k Try closing your browser and starting a new session, Rocket. Or maybe clearing out your cookies as well. Sometimes you'd have to clear out your cookies in order for the new settings to take affect.
